IoT Product Manager
OriginGPS is looking for a 4th year student or graduate of industrial engineering or relevant field to lead the IoT Product Management in the company. The product manager will be part of the R&D team and will work cross-functionally with the engineering, sales, marketing and support teams in an exciting innovative environment developing miniature IoT embedded systems. Responsibilities will include requirements analysis including pricing and planning, customer research and competitive analysis, sales planning and inventory control, financial planning and strategy, and product documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify customer needs through research and market data
- Assess competition by comparing products
- Work with the marketing team to create marketing communications objectives
- Work with the sales team to create product sales strategies
- Determine product pricing based on market research, production costs and anticipated demand
- Manage supply management and production planning
- Develop product documentation
- Evaluate effects of product design changes while considering technical constraints
Required
- Industrial engineering or relevant field – 4th year student or graduate
- Ability to develop datasheets and technical product documentation
- Basic understanding of code, production processes and testing procedures
- Excellent English, spoken and written
- A results-oriented team player who knows how to work independently
