Industrial Engineer
OriginGPS is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with at least 3 years’ experience in the fields of RF, cellular communication, and GPS\GNSS to work directly with customers to resolve their problems and enable them to successfully build solutions with OriginGPS products. The technical support engineer will be part of the GNSS and IoT product teams and will work to ensure customer satisfaction in an exciting innovative environment for embedded devices and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify customer problems by determining the cause of the problem, selecting and explaining the best solution to resolve the problem, and follow-up to ensure solution.
- Provide hardware and software recommendations for customer products, while considering clients’ requirements and optimal performance of product.
- Perform debugging and integration of complex PCBs, while using SW tools, laboratory equipment, simulators and technical product documents.
- Build sustainable relationships of trust with partners and sales channels through open and interactive communication.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams, providing accurate, valid and complete information internally to team members, management and co-workers.
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions, and help coordinate, and handle product recalls while managing the corresponding documentation (datasheets, application notes etc.).
- Exhibit IoT and GPS\GNSS products and solutions at exhibitions and conduct customer meetings.
- Work closely with sales channels verifying new product information is conveyed in a timely and accurate manner.
Required:
- Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering
- Working experience of at least 3 years in the fields of RF, cellular communication and GPS\GNSS with proven ability to accomplish remote technical support.
- Practical knowledge of electronics and engineering principles.
- Practical knowledge of product development from concept to production.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English within technical context.
- Experience in debugging and integration of multi-disciplinary products with interfaces such as UART, I2C, SPI and components such as batteries, RF modules, DC/DC convertors and sensors.
- Strong understanding of the principles of PCB design, GPS\GNSS protocols, cellular communication, IoT technologies, and the flow of embedded software code.
- Knowledge of GNSS and cellular IoT markets; available products, their pros and cons.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within the GPS\GNSS, cellular communication and IoT fields.
